Nara Swiftwood made a Wisdom check with a difficulty of 12 . . . and rolled 10 The goblin's explanation was perfectly reasonable and even quite fascinating. It was so fascinating that Nara Swiftwood did not notice the dagger the creep had pulled out until it was firmly stabbed into her side. A swift kick sent the unctuous goblin spiraling towards the ground. Nara Swiftwood took 10 damage. Nara Swiftwood received 16 XP. Nara Swiftwood received a Dagger. |

Nara Swiftwood was doing her best not to be too loud while tromping through the forest when several logs suddenly came tumbling down a hillside at her. As Nara Swiftwood passed through a canyon, goblins up above started raining rocks down on her! Still, Nara Swiftwood had to wonder what else might come out of that lake . . . Nara Swiftwood received 83 XP and 4 gold. Nara Swiftwood received a Potion of Aptitude. |

A lizardfolk warrior charged up the beach as terrified fishermen fled in its wake! Nara Swiftwood made an Armor Class check with a difficulty of 25 . . . and rolled 20 Nara Swiftwood provided enough of a distraction for the fishermen to escape, but the sheer strength of the lizardman was too much to overcome. Nara Swiftwood escaped, but was injured in battle. The fishermen rewarded Nara Swiftwood for her aid. Nara Swiftwood took 5 damage. Nara Swiftwood received 16 XP and 6 gold. |

Two dwarves stood in a small boat at the edge of the lake, yelling at each other loudly. Nara Swiftwood attempted to defuse the situation before all the noise attracted trouble. Nara Swiftwood made a Charisma check with a difficulty of 13 . . . and rolled 17 The two dwarves were arguing over a trade dispute, and Nara Swiftwood deftly mediated their problem. (She never figured out why they were in a boat, though.) The hirsute debaters offered Nara Swiftwood a reward. Nara Swiftwood received 68 XP. Nara Swiftwood received a Lesser Anvil of Moradin. |

With a name like Singing Falls, Nara Swiftwood expected a cute little waterfall, not the two-hundred-yard wide, thirty-yard-high monstrosity thundering down before her. The blessed wolfsbane was there, growing on a rock protruding from the water right in front of the center of the falls. There were a lot of sharp rocks in front of the falls, actually, making a swimming approach too dangerous. Nara Swiftwood made a Strength check with a difficulty of 13 . . . and rolled 14 Nara Swiftwood walked under the waterfall and got pounded by the water. It seemed the only reasonable path even though the rocks were wet and slippery and the water punishing. Nara Swiftwood's athletic prowess was up to the task and she was able to retrieve the wolfsbane. She proudly returned with it and saved the village. They will forever know her as a hero, and of course, rewarded her greatly. Nara Swiftwood received 130 XP and 21 gold. Nara Swiftwood received a Magic Whetstone. |

Nara Swiftwood was following a trail through the woods when her foot was violently yanked out from under her. Her body followed, and she was suddenly upside down, swaying back and forth from a tree branch. Then goblins with big sticks emerged from the woods. Nara Swiftwood made an Armor Class check with a difficulty of 26 . . . and rolled 18 The goblins took turns trying to smash Nara Swiftwood with sticks while cackling jokes to each other. They were quite successful too, which did not feel good to Nara Swiftwood. Eventually, she reached out with her Rusty Dagger and stabbed one of the goblins in the face. Their tone instantly changed and they scurried away from their dangerous prey. This gave Nara Swiftwood plenty of time to free herself. Nara Swiftwood took 6 damage. Nara Swiftwood received 20 XP and 4 gold. |

Nara Swiftwood was getting tired of walking along the seemingly endless road through the forest when she heard a horse approaching. Hoping to hitch a ride, she struck up a conversation as the man approached. Nara Swiftwood made a Charisma check with a difficulty of 12 . . . and rolled 15 The rider was glad to meet a friendly adventurer and even happier to have the company of such a charming traveler on the lonely road. They rode together on the horse for several miles before their paths diverged at a fork in the road. For Nara Swiftwood, it was also pleasant company and even more so pleasant to get off her feet for a while. Nara Swiftwood gets +3 Constitution for 2 encounters. Nara Swiftwood received 41 XP. |

They were moving to the city because the father had gotten a new job in a prominent guild. Nara Swiftwood made a Strength check with a difficulty of 12 . . . and rolled 14 She braced herself and, with a mighty heave, freed the wagon and pushed it to a drier patch of road. The family was grateful that they had escaped the swamp before night fell. They gave Nara Swiftwood a gift for helping them on their way. Nara Swiftwood received 46 XP and 12 gold. Nara Swiftwood received a Oak Staff. |

In the middle of the night, Nara Swiftwood awoke with a start to see a shambling man standing over her. The man swung a club at Nara Swiftwood without warning. Nara Swiftwood made an Armor Class check with a difficulty of 26 . . . and rolled 21 Nara Swiftwood took the brunt of the blow but managed to roll away and crawl closer to the glowing embers of the all-but-dead fire. She grabbed a handful of kindling and threw it on the embers. They caught immediately, and Nara Swiftwood grabbed a burning stick. She bashed the zombie with the flaming stick, setting it on fire too. By morning there was little left beside bones -- and an unexpected treasure. Nara Swiftwood took 7 damage. Nara Swiftwood received 38 XP and 5 gold. |

Hearing the sounds of battle, Nara Swiftwood hurried toward them, remaining careful not to be seen. A group of orcs had surrounded a small party of adventurers and was closing in for the kill. Nara Swiftwood made an Attack Bonus check with a difficulty of 16 . . . and rolled 9 Nara Swiftwood approached the nearest orc from behind and launched her attack. The brute's armor deflected the blow, the orc turned on Nara Swiftwood, and returned the blow tenfold! The other adventurers sprang into action, as several of the other orcs fell into their carefully laid traps. They thanked Nara Swiftwood for her unnecessary valor, treated her wounds, and even shared some of the orcs' treasure with her. Nara Swiftwood took 9 damage. Nara Swiftwood received 24 XP and 5 gold. |

In the dark heart of the salt marsh, Nara Swiftwood came upon its sinister secret. As she peeked through the reeds, she saw green steam rising from a large black cauldron. Three witches dressed in wispy black rags took turns stirring the concoction heating over glowing red coals. Occasionally one of the witches would ladle some of the green broth into a bowl and place it in a cage with a wild animal. Moments after the animal drank the brew, it cried out as its body twisted into that of a horrible monster. After the first monster burst from its cage and ran off, Nara Swiftwood knew she had to put an end to this -- now! Nara Swiftwood made an Intelligence check with a difficulty of 14 . . . and rolled 16 Nara Swiftwood had a cunning plan. She soaked her cloak in the mud, climbed a tree, and slid out onto a branch over the witches. She dropped the cloak over one of them, dropped down onto the second, and stabbed the third one with her Rusty Dagger. Back in town, the inn was abuzz with tales of Nara Swiftwood's "triple kill." She didn't spread around the story of how she had found some saucy loot in the witches' hut. Nara Swiftwood received 115 XP and 22 gold. Nara Swiftwood received a Greataxe. |

Failed attempt on an adventure with Nara Swiftwood

Nara Swiftwood made a Charisma check with a difficulty of 12 . . . and rolled 11 They engaged briefly in the usual small talk, which quickly ended when Nara Swiftwood offended the rider. The rider kicked Nara Swiftwood to the ground and trampled her leg as he rode off down the long road. Nara Swiftwood took 10 damage. Nara Swiftwood gets -3 Strength for 2 encounters. Nara Swiftwood made an Intelligence check with a difficulty of 15 . . . and rolled 1 Nara Swiftwood failed to answer the riddle correctly and was magically flung into the gorge. Luckily, she had grabbed hold of a vine and was able to climb out on the other side with only minor scrapes and bruises. Nara Swiftwood took 7 damage. Nara Swiftwood received 21 XP. |

Nara Swiftwood made an Armor Class check with a difficulty of 26 . . . and rolled 28 Nara Swiftwood dodged the javelins (and ignored the name calling) and deftly cut the rope bridge behind her, sending the bugbears down into the rushing river below. She then noticed a partially concealed cave containing the treasures the bugbears had been guarding. Nara Swiftwood received 55 XP and 14 gold. |

Nara Swiftwood found an enormous iron door set into a rocky cliff not far from the mountain pass where travelers reported the drow raiders. While watching from a safe distance, she saw one of the dark elves wriggle out from behind a small rock several meters to one side of the door. After the elf was gone, Nara Swiftwood snuck up to the rock and entered the Stronghold of the Drow using this secret entrance. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

A giant rat advanced menacingly on Nara Swiftwood . . . Nara Swiftwood made an Attack Bonus check with a difficulty of 13 . . . and rolled 19 Nara Swiftwood leapt to her right, dodged to her left, and then wickedly stabbed the rat with her Rusty Dagger. It twitched feebly once before rolling over dead. Nara Swiftwood searched the rat's nest and found some items of value that it had collected. Nara Swiftwood received 74 XP and 17 gold. |

Nara Swiftwood made a Charisma check with a difficulty of 12 . . . and rolled 21 Using all of her cunning, Nara Swiftwood convinced the dwarf that she was his long-lost cousin. Not only did she get directions, but she got an item and some dwarven perfume as well! Nara Swiftwood gets +2 Charisma for 8 encounters. Nara Swiftwood received 37 XP. Nara Swiftwood received a pair of Burglar's Gloves. |

Deep in the stronghold Nara Swiftwood heard elvish voices. She crept up to a door from which they were coming and peeked in through the small window in the top part of the door. Inside she saw several drow standing around a table. The tallest one had his back to the door, and he was gesturing while he talked, repeatedly pointing to a map laid out on the table. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Then she kicked the table over, knocking down the drow witch and disrupting her spell. Nara Swiftwood's surprise attack caught the rest of the dark elves flatfooted and she easily stabbed them with her dagger as well. Nara Swiftwood received 120 XP and 28 gold.
