Intro post with summary of my very first adventure!

Hello, fellow D&D'ers! I opened up this blog to serve as my public archive and repository for all my D&D adventures. To start off, here's a summary of my very first adventure:

I am a level 2 Fighter Centaur named Rydar Tryx who happens to be a member of a great tribe of Centaurs, lead by my father Tyrax. One day, an army of orcs, lead by creatures called "Senestrians" (it's a Naga-like creature in this adventure), invaded our homeland. Out on a scouting patrol with my father and a few of his best men, we engaged a small group of orcs. Rydar had defeated four orcs but was heavily wounded by a fifth orc. Collapsing to the ground, Rydar saw his father being brutally killed from a distance. Rydar screams out to his father but eventually loses consciousness. Being a large creature, Rydar was carried away in a net with four orcs bearing the load.

Rydar had regained consciousness and saw that he was locked inside a huge cage, enough just to accommodate one captive. He realized that he was on a ship, traveling to another continent. Looking around, he spotted a bird-like creature with its wings clipped. He had encountered a dragon-like creature with wings, had an eye patch and can stand on his two legs.

After time passed, a caravan with Rydar, other captive creatures and their captors traveled through a desert. A sandstorm was approaching and the caravan stopped at a cave until the sandstorm passed. Time yet passes again and the caravan finally arrives at a plaza where the captives, including Rydar, where sold. Bidding for Rydar started at 10 gold pieces, with increments of 10 gold pieces every passing bid. Eventually, a goblin won the auction by 50 gold pieces.

The goblin, known as Mirak, took Rydar and the goblin explained his interest in the centaur. Rydar now realizes he is an another region, far from his homeland. Mirak educaated Rydar about gladiator fights and why Rydar must participate in the events held inside the colloseum.

Rydar was introduced to the inner walls of the colloseum, underneath the main arena. There, many schools train captured and seasoned creatures from all of the world to participate in matches that happen on the main arena. Rydar replied to his "master" that meaningless bloodshed wasn't the way of the centaur. Mirak reminded him that freedom awaits those who are victorious. Rydar has met a lot of creatures along the way and one in particular: a catfolk who goes by the name of Leoric Stoneclaw. Although Mirak had described him as a loner, Rydar was able to get acquainted with the lone catfolk. After the introductions, Rydar rested for the remainder of the day.

The next day, Rydar gets to spar on a training and he is paired with Leoric. Even with Rydar's huge size, he was surprised that he couldn't fight Leoric back. Leoric's strike were too fast and too many, though they are weak. Rydar did the best he can with his spear fighting but could be barely hit the nimble catfolk, aside from a lucky hit with the Centaur Trample. In the end, Rydar lost against Leoric in the spar and the centaur was amazed how amazing Leoric was. Leoric helped Rydar get into his feet. The day ended and Rydar went to rest for the remainder for the night.

Another day has passed and Rydar will finally get his first taste of battle in the arena. However, a special match was going to happen: a 2-vs-2 battle. Rydar happens to be paired up with Leoric and both were taken into the main arena. Their opponents: 2 level 3 fighter gnolls each with a weapon of choice. Rydar was selected to battle the gnoll wielding a flail and shield while Leoric took the latter, who has equipped with a sword in each hand. The battle went on with Leoric defeating his opponent first and eventually helped out Rydar. The centaur fought with all the strength he had but stumbled at one time and decided to get regain his composure. This caused his gnoll opponent to get a free hit but in the end, Rydar stood victorious as he laid the last blow on his gnoll opponent. The crowd cheered and showed a gesture of a thumb pointed upwards with the other fingers closed. It was a sign that the defeated gnolls were spared of death.

The night after the match, Mirak reminded Rydar that these fights were for the centaur's freedom as Rydar contemplates that honor existed within the arena. Rydar retires for the night, not knowing when the day of his freedom will arrive.
